even with the lights on, the battery may still be weak... try jump starting it, and see if it works...if not.. starter, ignition switch or other safety switch.. dave
Your tail lights don't work on the left side you have changed the bulbs on the side that don't work and the lights still don't work?
Check the fuse. Check the wiring to the lights, and also check your fuses.Isn't that what I said? Unless somebody rewired your car, This is a common problem on Honda's, Toy's etc.
On your 2003 Harley Ann edition the speedometer don't work and the turn signals don't cancel any suggestions on what this is and how to fix it?
Most likely it's the speed sensor. The signals cancel on distance, so if the speed sensor is inoperative the module can't read the distance traveled.
you either have a blown fuse or one that is getting crossed i would recromend taking the radio out look at the wires making sure they are all in place
Why does car cut off at a red light or stop sign while the air is on but if its not on it doesn't what could that be?
could be a combination of a non working idle compensator and a vacuum leak.Poor vacuum will cause your car to stall at a light, the brake booster runs on vacuum, this together with the added load of the AC with the idle not being raised by the idle compensator might cause this to happen.Check you...
possibly the fuse for brake lights......also could be brake light switch----turn signal switch----broken wiring anywhere in the vehicle---relay not working ---any other item specific to your venicle.
it could be a bad relay
On most vehivles the live feed for the taillights brances from a connection in the back of the trunk. It is probably a poor connection or damp in this junction. If the whole cluster isn's working it is probably a poor earth.
Your car makes a screeching noise when you turn the ignition on and then it stops what could this be?
under the dash? could be seat warning/door buzzer going wacky. under the hood? could be coolant fan running tight. need more info.
No ur AC should still work it may just be that your gauge is jammed and just needs to be loosened take it to the nearest garage as you dont want any overheating of the car or it will costs you $$$
So now the refrigerant can't absorb more heat from your air, causing your air conditioner to blow out lukewarm air.Or worse.Your air conditioner will keep running until it overheats because it can't reach your thermostat temperature setting.Solution: Clean your outside unit using a special coil c...
What would cause the running or tail lights on your 1994 Camry not to work while the head lights brake lights and turning signal lights work?
There is a relay in the trunk (left hand side wall) that may have been burnt. You may want to check this out...had the same problem with my 1992 Camry.....different year of course. The wires to the running lights were broken and exposed, caused a short, which in turn burnt the relay in the trunk.
More than likely the Flasher Relay is defective. Replace it.
you can have your car lights on at any time but you do not have to have them on
When your air conditioner suddenly stops working, it can be cause for alarm or it can be something as simple as a blown fuse or tripped circuit breaker. It is important to note that many common problems with air conditioners can be caused by inadequate maintenance.
A broken or out of adjustment brake light switch.
What could be wrong if your car acts like it wants to cut off when stopped at a light or sitting still?
You could need a tune up, does it take a little while to start after the engine has cooled down?
99' Dodge Durango What does it mean when you turn your left turn signal on it works but when you push on the brakes signal won't work?
There are two bulbs for the the front and i think the back signals. that happened to me and I went searching to find that one of the bulbs was burnt. should be easy to find.
Your rear and tail light stopped working - back lights are working but while you apply brakes it does not flash as well as the tail lights -- what could be the problem?
it could be that there a 2 parts to the bulb and that particular part of those bulbs are out. you can either replace the blub by taking it into a auto store or by having them personally look at it. it could also be your fuse. try that first.
Was told to check the ac cluch relay ( 4 dollar part ) or the low refrigerant sensor ( may be defective if have plenty of refrigerant. ) or ac clutch . My wifes car will work great, then stop cooling and usually will not come back on but if does, again, works great. not sure but think compressor ...
These symptoms indicate that there is either:
The coolant fan may have a blown fuse. The electric motor, on the coolant fan may be not working. The ground wire on the cooling fan may be corroded or loose.
check for a broken vacuum line to the ac control panel
First check the bulbs or replace them, next check the fuse, if that's OK then the only other thing is the actual brake switch, usually mounted to the pedal. These often fail due to movement of the wire in a confined area.
first thing i would check would be all the fuses. then the light switch
Most total headlight failures are caused by a bad component like a fuse, relay, or module.Wiring problems can also cause both headlights to stop working.High beam headlights don't work or low beams don't work. The cause: A burned out bulb, or a problem with the high beam switch or relay.
When you press the break on my 99 cabrio the yellow rear light comes on when turn signal being used and break pressed the yellow light stops blinking and the reverse lights dont work please HELP?
you sir are victim of rewiring... you should prolly take your car into a shop because more than likely some wires have been crossed
Parking and dash lights also on this circuit - do they work? Check fuses Could also be a bad headlight switch
Chances are, your AC compressor pump is starting to tie up.
most likely engine problems but maybe it doesnt move for a while so it wants to turn off
when your in a manual and you have the car in first gear with the clutch all out the wheels cannot move and so the engine cannot work or it will break so the car stalls and the engine turns off
Possibly:-no power to the fuse-broken wiring between the fuse and the switch-broken wire between switch and bulbs-bad connection of terminals at the switch-bad connection of termnals at the bulbs-no ground at lamps-faulty brake switchSuggested way to figure out what is causing the problem:-use vo...
Your ac heater and defrost in your 2000 montero stop working when a fuse was replaced it kept blowing the fuse what is the problem?
either the fuse that was put has too much wattage or not enough
could mean many things.the power steering pump takes power from the engine to turn the wheels.if your pump is taking too much (bad pump) or if your motor is making too little power (misfire or other problem) it will be too much for the engine. Or you might simply have a loose earth tween engine a...
The AC takes the moisture out of the cabin air and that helps clear the inside of the windshield from moisture faster.
What is wrong with your car if it drives good but when it comes to a stop on a red light it turns off?
Plugged fuel filter. Plugged PVC valve. Plugged air cleaner. Any or all of the above.I would suggest looking for a cracked vacuum hose, which is a common cause of a stall at idle..
it could be dodgy wiring some were if you wired it your self or maybe a rat could of chewed threw the cables
Other systems that require power from the battery, like the dash lights, headlights, and even the radio, will also fail to work if your battery is dead.In some cases, the lights may still turn on, although they may seem dimmer than normal.
have your pressure control switch checked by a repair shop it may be defective.
Your brake lights wont turn off on your ford focus And i replaced the switch by the brake pedal and it still wont work?
The brake light switch might not be connected properly. Remove the brake light switch for 10 seconds and replace it to its original position.
By at least some of the Sate laws one hour before sunset.
There is a problem with the safety restraint system. Fix or have it fixed immediately. The air bags could deploy when not expected or not deploy when needed. There are several airbag sensors (in the bumper and air bag). They usually fail due to a short to power or ground.

But when the gauges in your car stop working, it's not a situation you can safely ignore. When one gauge stops working, the problem may be in the gauge itself or a bad sensor, while all the gauges cutting out at the same time often indicates a blown fuse or a defective instrument cluster.
Check the bulbs - they are double filamented with the smaller being for the stop lights Check the fuse Check the operation of the stop light switch usually at the upper end of the brake pedal under the dash
One of the more common causes for the brake pedal going to the floor is a loss of brake fluid. When you're out of brake fluid, your brakes simply won't work. The master cylinder is where brake fluid gets compressed.Pressure on the brake fluid cases the brakes to be applied to the wheels.
Some AC problems due to a malfunctioning thermostat In such cases, although you will need repair technicians to fix the thermostat, you shouldn't have damage to the AC itself that will need work. However, there are ways that a thermostat can go wrong that will cause serious problems for the air c...
The indicators on your fiesta have stopped working no shorts fuses are fine what could the problem be?
There could be a ground on the body of the vehicle. If this isn't the case there could also be a problem with the relay that go to the indicators.
Well if it makes noise maybe the manufacturer messed up while putting the part on which meens you should have it replaced or fixed!
If you cut the engine, you will lose power steering.
The fuses are good and the parking lights and tail lights work but the head lights don't work on my 2000 Toyota corolla?
Check the bulbs first, I've seen where both burn out and you can be lead to believe you have an electrical problem.
Hi, It seems you may have a loose connection on your starter motor.Good luck
Your right rear side light is not flashing on the outside but in the car it flashes really fast when you turn on and the left rear light is working Why is the right rear side not working?
Did you check if the bulb is ok? Normally if a bulb is burned out the speed of the indicator inside the car increases significantly.
Why does the AC light on the AC panel flash after changing the AC compressor in your 192 Chevy Suburban?
might need to reset the problem indicator
Most A/C systems have a sensor that will automatically stop the compressor when the R134 refrigerant runs low or leaks out. you will be able to tell if the pump is working by having someone turn your A/C on and off in the car with it running. If the clutch on the pump is not engaging and disengag...
All your dash lights come on but the car wont turn over so you wait a few minutes and it starts right up What could it be?
What type of car??? Some cars have a security feature that will disable the car for a few minutes if an improper key is used to prevent a criminal from using multiple keys with the security resister in them. Also try cleaning your key.
If it too is not working, the brake-light switch, a bad fuse or an unplugged harness is likely.A quick test is to try the emergency-flashers, on vehicles that use the brake lights as flashers.Good fuses mean the most likely cause is the brake-light switch.
The most likely cause of this problem is bad earthing of one of your rear light clusters. it would be very helpful if you told us the make and model, but Fiats in the 60's were notorious for this type of problem
94 Toyota pickup when you turn highbeams on they don't work but when you flash the highbeams they do work?
Probably a issue with the multifunction swith (headlamp switch). You'll need to test the switch.
Check fuses first but its probably the brake light switch under the brake pedal.
Assuming the bulbs are good, check the fuses.
Nope, bet it was the other way around... Your speedometer stopped working and your check engine light came on. A broken speedometer (don't know what car so I can't pinpoint it) will cause a whole bunch of codes.
Could be,burned out bulbs, blown fuse, faulty backup light switch or wiring,Well, you have to diagnose in order to figure this out... that's the first part of making any repair. After all, you can't be told or figure out how to repair it if you don't know what's wrong in the first place, correct? S...
Not knowing the vehicle make or model will only get you a generic answer. Often vehicles are fitted with a switch that measures engine load and switches off accessories such as A/C when considerable engine load is detected at idle speed. For example when parking a vehicle with the A/C on and the ...
Why would your car heater not work Car radiator giving bubbles but they go away when you turn AC on or when radiator fan turns on?
There is only one thing you can do if your Heater in your car is not working. You will have to take it to the dealership and have them look at it.
We have a 2002 beetle the turn signals don't work sometimes the drivers side front and rear blink once Could it be a bad bulb somewhere?
More than likely it is a loose connection or short somewhere in the wiring. It wouldn't hurt to check all the bulbs and fuses and replace what's needed. If the problem persists, any mechanic can check the wiring for you.
One of the doors is open (or not shut properly).
Your brake lights will not work on your 1977 Ford truck f150 you put a new turn singal switch on it an a new brake switch on it and still no lights?
use a test light or a multimeter to check for power at the tail lights, check bulbs.
I don't know specifically but there is almost never a large number of fuses in a car. It wouldn't hurt to check them all because any blown fuse would need to be replaced.
The facts about the red-light camera system are simple: The sensors that detect an offence are “inductive loops” right after the stop line. They are not in the intersection. This means that drivers within the intersection making a right turn can do so knowing they will not be fined.
Causes of AC Clicking Clicking noises as your unit turns on or off can be caused by a loose fan, or a faulty relay switch.Frequently, when a fan becomes loose, from average wear and tear, or lack of maintenance, it will hit against something in the condenser.
My viper car alarm system stopped working however when i press it the light still blinks as though it is working but i don't hear it how do i fix this problem?
I have the same problem. Anyone please? My email is [email protected]
Check bulbs--they are dual filament smaller is for brake and turn signal --larger is for tail lights
The AC and heater are completely different subsystems. The heater relies on heat generated by the engine and circulated by the engine coolant (radiator fluid) while the AC uses a belt driven compressor and separate fluids.Their only normal commonalities are the blower motor (which you said works),...
You should turn on your car's headlights at dusk and when it is raining. It is also a general practice to turn your headlights on when in a funeral procession. You should check with your local motor vehicle bureau, since regulations may be different in the area you will be driving.

The brake lights don't work on my 1986 Chevy Silverado even after I put in a new fuse and new bulbs. What could be wrong?
Check also the brake light switch and all associated wiring. You could have an "open" in the wiring which will not permit the electrical current to flow from the source to the bulbs.** Yes, I agree. Then it could be your brake light switch which is located above the arm of your brake peddle. (Whe...
AC Leaks. One of the most common causes for a failed AC unit or one that slowly stops working is a leak in the system, this causes your cars AC to function with little to no refrigerant fluid/coolant gas.The mechanic should perform a diagnostic, fill your leaking AC with coolant, pressurize it and...
