Would it be possible to attain an average speed of 70kmh and never exceed a reading of 70kmh on the speedometer?

Cars & Vehicles

Only if you are able to set the cruise control to 70kmh and you aren't counting acceleration and deceleration times into your calculation. Not to mention you can't get "boxed in" in traffic. Its possible but hardly practical unless you live in a desolate area.

Yes! If it's acceleration is decreasing, it has negative jerk (rate of change of acceleration), but it's acceleration could still be positive, such that it's velocity (and hence speed) is increasing. If it's acceleration decreased below zero, however, it would start to slow down instead.
