Why the idle speed does not stay on my Mazda B2200 1987?

Cars & Vehicles
Mazda Trucks

Take your vehicle to your local autozone if you have one, or some other autoparts store that can see what check engine light code is coming up on your truck. I am sure there is one, as you describe a problem with you idle which is computer controlled. Could be any number of reasons, ie Throttle Position Sensor(tps), vacuum leak, Egr valve problem, an a numerous other things I could continue to list. If no one in your area has a way to check your car for free, take it to a reputable shop and ask for engine diagnosis with an estimate. Usually they charge a rate for checking the problem and give an estimate, and if you let them repair the vehicle, there is no charge for the diagnosis.
