Why is the accelerator on the right?

The accelerator is in the right to prevent us from stomping on the brake and accelerator simultaneously.

This combined with the driver's seat making pressing right and middle paddles simultaneously hence we don't have to care ;P.

However we can easily press the clutch and brakes simultaneously.
