Why does ef falcon motor hunt when pulling up to a stop?

3 things come to mind straight away,

1- Timing and/or timing sensor is not adjusted correctly

2- broken airflow meter, allowing the butterfly to briefly close and open, obstructing the airflow

3- faulty fuel pump
