What happens when car engine freezes due to cold temp and when will it start again?

Cars & Vehicles

Things crack when the coolant freezes. Get it towed into a heated garage and let it thaw. If your real lucky and nothing cracked, put the proper mix of 50% clean water and 50% antifeeze into the cooling system. This mix will protect to -34 degrees F. If something did crack like the engine block you have serious problems. It may cost more than the car is worth to repair.
