7.3l diesel does not have an adjusment for the serpentine beltit is autmatically adjusted with the belt tensioner.if the tensioner is not keeping belt tight, replace the belt and check to see that tensioner is working correctly.most times if vaccuum pump is not working the power brakes, you need to replace the vaccuum pump. the pump is about 80 bucks at autozone, and you will need to borrow autozones pulley wheel remover to change the pulley wheel as new pumps do not come with the pulley wheel
You don't. The belt tension is automatically adjusted via a spring loaded tensioner. If the serpentine belt is noisy or worn out prematurely. replace the tensioner. The belt should be inspected for cracks and other signs of wear. Replace worn out belt(s) before they break leaving you stranded.
To remove the serpenteen belt on this vehicle, you must first locate the spring loaded tensioner. Locate the HFCM module under the truck and just in front of the firewall on the driver's side. There is a hex key plug which you need to remove to drain the water. Allow to drain for about 10-15 seconds. Some people recommend you regularly do this once every 1-2 months to avoid the warning light.

When you purchase the new wiper blade the package has detailed instructions on it. Or you can get the parts person who sells you the blade to change it for you. I have changed many blades for customers.
You'll need a special tool (available at a parts store) to take off the filter. The tool releases the filter from the fuel line fittings. Sometimes it's easy to take off the filter and sometimes it difficult. Needle nose pliers won't work.

It has an automatic belt tensioner. If the belt is loose it means the tensioner has failed and needs to be replaced. If you feel competent to try, belt tensioners are not difficult to replace. Purchase a new one (and a new belt, since you need to take the old one off anyway, it's cheap insurance)....
