How do you re-seat valves in 2000 Isuzu 3.2?

Cars & Vehicles

Very carefully....To re-seat a valve is machining the valve and the cylinder head. this is a multi stage process that takes time and lots of patience and extreme attention to detail one wrong move and you possibly just made a very expensive mistake. but to answer your question a valve has 4 locations on it that need to be grinded for re-seating not including the molded space where the valve actually contacts the cylinder head. but the parts of the valve are - The Face, The Stem, The Head, The Seat all of those parts are speced and cut accordingly to properly re-seat a valve. but a short way would be to just clean the valve and then get all the imperfections off and measure to make sure it still with in spec and then cut the head I would not recommend doing it that way.
