Does magic eraser scratch automobile finish?

Cars & Vehicles

I've used it on just about every surface in my house, including stovetop - which i assume would be similar to auto finish - w/o a problem. i have read on various sites that it can scratch, but i have not had that problem. i use it on tub surround, which is even softer, still no problem.
