Can you get a new fly wheel on your transmission to make your car pulloff and switch gears faster?
The flywheel isn't going to help. The teeth need to match up in order to function properly. A shift kit would do you more good in this regard.
Thils is a typical problem in the geo transmission. There is a check valve in the shift body of the transmission. It is easily fixed and costs next to nothing. If you haven't fixed it by now contact me and I'll give you the information. Mr Geo Metro [email protected]
There are two parts to this question. Can you remove your car's vehicle speed sensor? - Sure. You can remove the engine and transmission too, if you feel like it. The car may not work afterward, but you can do it. It may be easier to disable the VSS than to physically remove it, depending on exact...
Your transmission runs fine when it is cold but after you drive for a bit you can not get it to shift from 1 to 2 and when you step on the gas the transmission will slip out of gear?
Sounds like your torque converter needs replacing
AnswerEmpty the trunk, blow upthe tyres to the correct poundage. On modern cars get the chip mapped. You have Chrysler 97 Concorde the problem is the your car runs only on 2nd gear and doesn't shift to 3rd gear engine make a lot of sound when you reach to speed 60 kmh need to buy new one?
If the vehicle is stuck in 2nd gear and does not change gears.... you more then likely have a bad speed sensor. The transmission is electronic and the 2nd gear is considered the " Safe" mode. Take it and have the transmission computer checked for codes.
If you mean- accelerate faster.. you need to increase the horsepower or lighten the car. If you mean top speed, most cars are limited and a programmer/cpu is the only way around that. For Horsepower:engine programmer can be a good bang for the buckcold air intakeunder drive pullies or replacing cl...
You and your husband have cars you are reg owner of 1 and his the other i want to switch ownership on the cars do you need to get a new policy for both cars?
It depends on the state and how often you drive one another's cars. You'd probably save money just by getting a joint policy and putting both vehicles on it.Your best bet would be to call your agent or your insurance company's 1-800 number.
It's not impossible, but it is extremely impractical.
A few possibilities are; 1. The engine does not have enough power to pull the load in the gear that you are in (shift to a lower gear will help or eliminate the problem). 2. The engine is being shifted at to low of an rpm. 3. The engine has some power problems (fuel system problems, ignition prob...
It depends what car you have but i think no
How soon can you get another car if you are getting ready to start a new job and really need transportation and your previous car was repossessed?
You can buy from a private seller or you can use public transportation.
A cold air intake can either work for or against you... it can increase your horsepower, and thus lead to improved performance, but only if it still allows you to maintain the ideal stochiometric ratio (the fuel/air mixture)... otherwise, it'll decrease your power and fuel mileage.
Nope, the knock sensors only goal in life is to inform the engines control module to adjust the spark timing to optimize engine performance and fuel economy. the "knock" is caused by predetination which is caused by spark timing to far advanced or crappy quality fuel. check the fluid in tranny it...
no you will just become a big fire ball
If you did not sign anything, yes. If you have signed some papers, depending on what they are, probably not. If you have signed the agreement to purchase, possibly. Ask the selling dealer to let you out of the agreement to purchase.
Can you give your buy here pay here lot your car that was hit back and make payments on the difference of it and a new car?
You CAN but, unless you've got some serious savings, I wouldn't recommend it.
For both manual and automatic transmission equipped vehicles, the flywheel is actually attached to the rear of the engine crankshaft, not to the transmission itself. But cars that have automatic transmissions originally can have flywheels that are not compatable with manual transmissions. That is...
You purchursed a used car 6 months ago AS IS and now the transmission does not work on the car Can you get help legally to make the used car dealer to fix your car?

Problem with your 1991 Passat it has a new transmission but after you get out of the highway on normal streets the car gives you problems changing gears what can you do Also It waste a lot of gas?
Well, if you are having transmission problems with a new one, take it back to whomever replaced it and get it fixed. Surely there is a warranty on replaced transmissions from any reputable shop. As a consumer, you have the right to have something that you paid good money for to work properly. As f...

to use 4 wheel drive, both front and rear ends must have same gear ratio.if you dont want to use 4 wheel drive,u can change rear ratio, but remove front drive shaft so as not to accidently engage 4 wheel drive and trash your transmission
What makes an automatic car make a noise when it is turned on and when you change gears from reverse to park or park to any gear?
There's a few reasons:When a automatic transmission vehicle is turned on, the small but the seemingly small burst of energy it takes to start the car by means of combustion, it may rock the motor mounts and cause maybe a moving.. or bumping sorta sound. When you move the gear lever in any positio...
Low gear oil level might do that, or contaminated or dirty gear oil. Get the tranny hot by a 1/2 hour drive and change the oil out for fresh. You may have to do this a couple of times to get all the "badness" out of the tranny. If it doesn't fix it, assume the input shaft bearing has failed, whic...
Find a big hill to go down. :) Why do you want to go faster? A TDI will go 110mph. If you meant quicker, you can chip it to get a few more horsepower. Smaller diameter wheels with larger profile tires are usually a lot thinner.Smaller diameter wheels with lower or the same profile tires will give a smaller rolling circumference, this will make the car accelerate faster, but will reduce the top speed.
It depends on the gearing and available power. For a given engine speed (revs) larger wheels make a car faster. However to do that the engine will need to produce more torque. If it can't manage that then it will never reach that engine speed and so the car will not go as fast.
Anything is possible with time, money and some serious modification. Front wheel drive vehicles are not designed to accept the dimensions of the parts that are needed for rear wheel drive. The engine compartment is designed to accept transverse (sideways) mounted engines not inline engines, there...
Sure, but you might have trouble getting the loan to buy it due to the fact that your other car got repossessed by the bank that gave you another loan.
Depending on the speed you are going, yes it could really kill your transmission and your engine! But don't be afraid, your car is not suppose to allow your transmission to downshit if your going to fast for that gear.
The most common cause of a stuck solenoid is not changing your transmission fluid according to your vehicle's recommended schedule. It's important to regularly have your transmission fluid changed at a transmission shop in order to prevent problems with your transmission such as a stuck solenoid.
you will need to change out the speedometer cable or if your lucky its just loose and fell off the back of the dash depending on the car make and model
Nope, it just means the transmission takes a little longer to shift. or it means the clutch is a little slow. either way, not a problem unless you want to fix it.
increase manifold pressure and volume, increase fuel volume.First, diesel purge, valve adjustment, refer to dieselgiant.com for some really cool info on maintaining these classicsThese cars are not built for speed, but for comfort. This car will not be fast, ever! You will be heartbroken if you are...
Bigger tires can increase your top speed slightly, because they are bigger. But you should be careful with fitting other size tires then your factory supplied, because the car is designed for that size. You should then also alter the suspension and spedometer.
A turbo can make your car faster by increasing the amount of air that the engine can have inside the cylinders. A turbo alone will not make a car faster, you will need to adjust the amount of fuel that is injected into the engine as if you add too much air it will cause your engine to lean out an...
If you made your question more specific, I'd be able to answer it better, but here are the different types of toy cars below:Cars going down ramps: Try making the cars heavy, but not too much so that gravity will make the car roll down faster. No. If there had previously not been any alignment issues, and as long as the new tires are properly balanced, you will not need an alignment.

that means you are letting go of the clutch too fast and possibly grinding gears. Some of us may not know what a car is doing when it's doing a kangaroo. Please describe.
Yes, but you would have to sign the papers for the title of your car to be transferred to the new owner.
Could be a loose or worn belt, or an accessory (water pump, alternator, etc.) bearing going out. Could even be a wheel bearing going out. Start by checking the condition/tension of the drive belt(s),
A new valve body it's probably the easiest. If you do that you can have quicker, harder shifts and control when they happen. You can get more in depth then that and change clutches, gears and almost anything really.
It's possible, but far from being a feasible thing to do.
Yes, wax will lower the drag coefficient of the snowboard.
If the driving wheel and the driven wheel of a gear system are of the same size which gear will move faster?
The driving wheel will move faster because some energy is always lost in energy transfer. If the two gears are the same size and have the same number of teeth they will both rotate at the same speed.
Your mother signed a car title over to you and you lost it before you could get it switched over how do you get another title?

Fortunately, there are a few legitimate companies that pay you to put advertising on your car.For example, Carvertise is currently looking for drivers. Its website says drivers earn $100 per month, and campaigns typically last three to six months.
Yes, you can replace the key with a switch/button combination. The key is mainly there as a anti-theft feature.
The Kelley Blue Book website can give you an approximation, although the VIN would be of no use - you'd use that for the Carfax vehicle history report. A list of options and the mileage would help on the KBB website.
This depends entirely on the vehicle. My Land Cruiser specifically recommends not doing thisMy Dodge pick up does not mind.
Not if you've already signed a purchase contract. However, most car lots WANT their customers to be happy. Go back to the lot and tell your saleman if you'd like to trade it in for a new car. A reputable dealer will give you fair market value for the demo, (which should be pretty close to what yo...

If you relocate at 16 before you get your license but have had your permit for a year do you have to get a new learners permit and if so how long until you can get your license?
If you relocate to a different state you will have to get a new learners permit. However, if you relocate within the same state you do not need a new learners permit.
Without a flywheel you couldn't even start the engine.
It can be done, but you're probably better off just to trade it in. Depending on year and which transmission you have, as well as which one you're putting in, you may have to get the engine ECM and other modules reflashed, may even have to replace the entire engine ECM or repin the entire harness...
No....never add somthing to your fuel that isn't combustible

It is best to have the person buy the vehicle off you straight out. Then in turn, with the money you receive from him/her you pay the remainder of the loan. It gets too complicated for someone to take over car payments and you sure don't know this person. They could well leave the country and lea...
No, it will have no effect on the flywheel.
If you put a engine on the car that produced thrust, and didn't drive the wheels then yes in theory it could fly.
Your heater will reach useful temperature faster if your engine heats up faster, as it takes its heat directly from the engine (usually by water heated by the engine block) - and the engine block heats up faster under load, so: turn on front and rear windscreen heaters.turn on lights.
