This sounds like an older term referring to the older Chrysler Corp. 'Torgue-Flyte' automatic transmission. The torgue converter is the device that acts as the fliid coupling and torque multiplier connection between the engine and the automatic transmission of most of the older Chrysler Corp. veh...
wiring harness.some what vague question hope this helps.
I had this same problem on my 1994 Aerostar automatic column shift shifter. Turned out that if you look for the shifter link underneath the dashboard (on the driver's side) there are two torx screws (mine are kinda gold-colored). Mine had worked quite loose, one had even fallen out on the floor e...
On my '97, by turning the swith to "off-road" it only lifts the whole truck up a few inches (turn it to off-road and get out of it while running, you'll see.) I asked around what the difference between AWD and 4x4 and I was told that in our trucks the power ratio during normal operation is about ...
What kind of car is is it? Without knowing anything else, I would suggest checking the fuses and relays. It should be the same blower; does it work with the heater? If so, it could be an issue with the a/c - heater control in your dashboard. It could also be a bad blower. If you can get to it, yo...
Sounds like a bad transmission. Speak with a certified mechanic in your area.
If you feel no air blowing at all (when you are not moving) then your fan is not blowing. If it is blowing air, and it is cold, when the heater is on, then most probably your heater core is leaking, or is clogged. These are easily replaceable and go bad all the time in older cars.
THE COLD AIR WARM AIR EXHANGE DIVERTER DOOR IS NOT WORKING
I have two of these, a 1993 and a 1997. Unfortunately, they don't go back. They are pretty much stuck in that 70 degree angle which it stops at. It sucks, I know. Sorry
To change the thermostat on a 2002 Montero Limited, drain the radiator halfway through the plug on the bottom. Remove the upper hose assembly and unbolt the thermostat. Install the new one and fill the radiator.
Check the ground wire to the bulb assembly and check the wire connections and the socket for corrosion or heat damage.

A bearing, bushing or other rubbing surface has worn or dried out, or the brakes have worn down to the wear sensor. Either way, it's not a good thing. If the noise changes pitch when you touch the brakes, it's probably the brake wear sensor, get the brakes fixed right away. If not, it could be a ...
screw it in turn the piston clockwise and screw it in , only for rear brakes
possible 12 accumalator spring is broken.you can get to it by removing the valve body.If you have no transmission experience I would let a shop handle it
Check the length of white vacuum line under the hood that look as if it comes out of the A/C package as it is a direct link to the timing modulator. It only takes a hair line crack in a vacuum line to cause chaos in the idle circut, but when the motor speed is above idle a small crack may seal it...
If you have a tire iron with a narrow tip on the end opposite of where you loosen the lug nuts then you can stick it in the crank hole and turn it until the spare tire is lowered. Sam Kent
take the old one out noting if it has a wiring harness from the auto wiring to mate to the radio harness ie male/female connectors, if so cut the harness from the old radio and splice to the new radio soldering or electrical tape connections following the color coded diagram that comes with the n...
Low oil level? Engine showing signs of internal wear Replace oil sending unit with mechanical gauge to observe actual oil pressure
Try to spray ball joints with WD-40 or similar product and see if squeek temporarily improves
It can be one of two things or both 1 the door seals may be bad 2 the hinge pins could be bad which makes your doors not shut properly
Check to see if you are getting power to the motor - if so motor is bad If not could be a bad switch or broken or disconnected wire
Still under warranty. Take it back to the dealer and let them find out why.
There should be a vent at the top back of the case. An actual tube, or just a button/knob diameter of a penny and 3/8" thick. Is this plugged or in the case of the tube is it crushed?
Having only high fan speed is due to your resistor block being blown. It is located behind the floor duct at the passengers feet. It costs about $30 and has only 2 screws holding it in.
Follow the instruction in the link to remove the plastic cover http://www.installdr.com/InstallDocs/Honda/PDF/466053.pdf
Its an electrical problem,if your oil is okay.It might be on a recall list.Check with Ford.
The Ford 302 HO firing order is 1-3-7-2-6-5-4-8. This is different from the standard Ford 302 which is 1-5-4-2-6-3-7-8. Do not confuse them. Cylinder lacations are Passenger's side front to rear 1-2-3-4 Driver's side Front to Rear 5-6-7-8 The Ford 302 HO firing order is 1-3-7-2-6-5-4-8. This is ...
Without more specific information, I'm going to take a guess and say it is wired backwards.
Look for an insurance company that will write a policy based on the risk you have described. Don
The engine holds 5 quarts.
Check oil level Try replacing oil sending unit with a manual gauge to see what actual oil pressure reads If still low depending on mileage probably engine component wear--if you can raise engine idel to keep oil pressure at acceptable level
it has a crank shaft position sensor which could possibly be bad its located on front of motor next to crankshaft pulley
Oil thick due to cold temperaturesAs vehicle warms up oil thins making it easier to shiftSounds like you're running petroleum lube in your manual. Completely drain out all of the current lube & replace with Pure Synthetic Manual Tyranny Lube. I suggest: AMSOIL 100% Pure Synthetic Manual Trans...
Sounds like the transmission is not shifting right or that our lockup converter is not disengaging.
The cap to the expansion tank (or a radiator cap) may need to be replaced. These go bad and allow the temperature to slowly start rising. Or maybe your existing cap is loose---try tightening it. Radiator or water pump. Check your maintenance schedule and see if you are due for a water pump/ timin...
key on engine off press accelerator pedal to the floor five times very rapidly should reset
I don't know what happens when your Durango is parked, but if it overheats when idling it should be caused by an extremely low level of the coolant. When the level is very low, the temperature rise quickly, and fall when the vehicle speed increase, thanks to the air that cool down the radiator. Y...
www.autozone.com has much of the repair information available free online. You will find your fuse diagram there.
To reset the light do the following. Turn the key to run with the engine off. Then as soon as the key is turned to the off position, press the accelerator pedal 3 times with five seconds. Then turn the key to the lock position. If the light still stays on, have it brought to someone like a mechanic ...
Not sure of the question, but if your car is less than 7 yrs old, apply the brake first, then you can move the shift selector.
it could be that ignition switch or wires to it. wires to the starter.
The brake light switch is either out of adjustment or defective.
if you were going 25 in reverse and slammed it into first like that, you more than likely broke the gear... it would probably be in your best interest to get a new transmission now since you've done some serious damage to your existing one, to which no amount of fluid is likely to fix
passenger side panel, above left knee
when going up a hill you can really notice the gears are jumping when changing. Also the car is also making a grinding sound. Is this the transmission?
See if the compressor is cycling on and off. If not, the fuse is blown. if it is and you still have only hot air, then it probably has a leak and needs repair and recharging. See professional help. See if the compressor is cycling on and off. If not, the fuse is blown. if it is and you still hav...
Cars with front wheel drive have a transmission that also acts like a differential, feeding the power to the outside wheel when going around a corner. This type of transmission is called a trans axle, because the drive shafts go directly from the transmission to the wheels.
